If you need help for school at home thinking, you often think peer pressure. At least one of the benefits is not a pressure equal to your children at home. You do not have to worry about the bully of the class. Do not worry with the coolest styles of clothing. So why worry about peer pressure?
Peer pressure, I do not talk about your children ... is for you.
How to deal with Peer Pressure in Homeschooling
AmanoHomeschooling. They like to choose the curriculum that are best for the child. They love to be able to teach speed your child needs - what extra time for difficult issues. Everything feels pretty good. That is, until you are faced with one of these scenarios:
School field trips co-ops and home activities.
How to enjoy the eighth time to visit and exchange with other mothers, begin to see what others do homeschooled children pay. WhatLevel of math they are doing? How well read are you? What languages are learned? As we write, etc, etc, etc.
Instead of relaxed and relieved to see out of your time and stress and doubt begins to creep on your teaching skills.
Kinship
Will it have a nice Sunday dinner with your parents or in-laws? They thought of grilled chicken is served - It seems that you are the onlyYou grill. What curriculum do you use? You agree to follow the school? What if Johnny is behind it? What? Suzy can do algebra, not yet! If they are accepted by colleges? Will be able to get scholarships?
Tests
standardized tests have always been my downfall. Nothing bothers me how these tests. This appears to be the company that the notes from our children. No matter which school systems have reported these tests useless for years.
Strangers
How aboutTrips to the supermarket? The writer discovers that the child is homeschooled, and immediately begin Quizzing you decide which is the 17th U.S. President was. What was his name the dog? In what state was it? Really ... Does anyone know of this from the top of his head?
I'm sure at one time or another, have faced one of these scenarios. If you're like me, you let the feeling of inadequacy, doubt and uncertainty. So what is the answer to withstand this type of peer-Pressure?
The confidence in knowing why you homeschool. Take the time to sit and think.
Do you home school your children to build character?
Avoid homeschool socialization of public school?
We home school because the child has difficulty learning and may be given to their individual house?
We homeschool for religious beliefs?
Take your time. Do you remember why it is that the school house and build on your strengthsthis. Personally, I teach my children that the Lord lead me to do so. give up every time I hear peer pressure or feeling, I draw from my faith and obedience to God to keep me.
These standardized tests? They no longer bother me. I trust that the Lord is my guide for my children for the work that has to do to prepare for them. You know like trust in God who gave you your children to grow and give you the help and guidance you needcomplete the work.
